In the book, in the world, lots of places you’ve heard if it sounds too good to be true, it likely is.
You didn’t win the Spanish lottery you didn’t buy a ticket for, a Nigerian prince isn’t splitting millions with you and Phostorian, a San Antonio based company, will not be getting you $9,000.
According to the company’s advertisement, the investment included a high-speed scanner, laptop, and travel carrying case. The company referred to it as the complete “Business in a Box”, which would provide franchisees everything needed to start their own in-home scanning business.
Basically, here’s how Phostorian works. You send them $3,997 and they promise you a big return. That’s pretty much the end of it.
Essentially, you are forking over almost $4,000 for nothing. When you do business with an online entity:
Check Yelp!
Dispute charges if you are a fraud victim
Report to local law enforcement, although they will likely only do a police report if that.
As a last resort, check BBB. Make sure you ignore the grade and go only for the reviews. The BBB grade is attained by the business spending money. The reviews are from real people who have used the product or service.
