You may have heard about recent malware that infects Android phones.  Some can physically damage the phone (overheating).  Other malicious apps can turn on your microphone/video and send recordings to hackers.

A few helpful hints:

• Only use the official Google Play store to install apps.  Do not “side load” APK files or apps from other sources.
• Enable “Google Play Protect” + updates on your phone.  It is a new feature, auto-scans for malicious apps.
