Lifetime TV did a show on this. It was sketchy from start to finish. “Sheena” would not talk on the phone. “She” wouldn’t give an absolute address. When the man showed up, there was a masked man who tased him. It doesn’t get better, but this is the avoidable beginning.

If you learn nothing else from this website,  please remember to use common sense when meeting someone you only “know” from the internet. Whether online dating or buying from online classified ads, follow these basic rules:

1. Meet in a public area! This is the best first line of defense.

2. Make sure a contact knows where you are going and the details.

3. If you decide to go elsewhere with them, update your contact with details.

4. Keep your cell phone handy. If your phone had the feature, lock it so you can call 911 with a button press.

Most are legitimate, but you have to be skeptical first. Trust but verify! ?
