Same as with legitimate online transactions, you fill out a form with your personal information. Then you enter your credit card information. It looks official and appears to be from you state health department.
Your birth certificate never turns up. The company is unreachable. Your money and personal information have been compromised. It is easy to fall victim to.
For this sort of transaction, you should be on a “.gov” site. “Texas.gov” is the Great State of Texas’ website. “Texas.com” is a private website not affiliated with the Texas government.
